This session focused on “Protective Behaviours” and the importance of being advocates for children.
Protective behaviours equip children with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate their world safely and confidently. It is about educating and empowering children on how to recognise unsafe situations, people and feelings in order to help them to avoid potential harm.
Understanding protective behaviours can encourage children to be more confident about speaking up and seeking help when they feel unsafe or uncomfortable.
We all left the session with extra confidence in this part of our roles as educators and understanding the importance of instilling this in children during early childhood.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Robert and Childcare Experts for delivering such an interactive and informative session.
Here's to continuous growth and excellence in Early Childhood Education!
