Local Councillor, Natalie Herridge, visits Tall Tree Early Learning Landsdale

We were delighted to officially welcome, Natalie Herridge, Councillor, City of Wanneroo to Tall Tree Early Learning Landsdale last week.

Natalie has been a huge supporter of ours since we opened early this year, attending our Open Day in March and as a local herself, has loved to witness the former Landsdale mansion converted into our one-of-a-kind Early Learning Centre over the last two years.

Natalie met with our Operations Manager, Natalia Dyer, Centre Manager, Sophie Highet, Assistant Centre Manager, Courtney Fijolek and some of our Marketing Team as she took a tour around the centre, visiting our Atelier, Planning Room, 6 rooms, kitchen and of course our two stunning nature playgrounds.

The Pre-Toddlers were shy but very brave to show Natalie some of the Auslan they have been learning whilst the Kindy class were joyous in showing how well they know our Acknowledgement of Country which was sang below our stunning Mulberry Tree in our older children’s playground.

As a beautiful gift to Natalie, the Kindy Educators and children presented her with a canvas painting of our Mulberry Tree, created by painting leaves that had fallen off our tree. Natalie was amazed by this artwork and the children were delighted by her reaction.

After chatting to the children and Educators, Natalie took some time to be introduced to all 9 of our chickens in their coup! These chickens have been incubated, hatched and grown onsite at Tall Tree Early Learning Landsdale and are now old enough to enjoy days getting to know their new home in our purpose-built environment. The children loved showing Natalie the chickens, especially the star of the show, Wally, who has been hand reared by our Assistant Centre Manager, Courtney. The children can’t wait for the chickens to start laying eggs!

Natalie also got to witness just how much joy our nature playground brings to our children as they played happily in our water fountain. The squeals of delight from the children were heartwarming to see.

Finally, Natalie was gifted with worm tea that the children had made and some limes one of our Educator’s brought in to share, grown from their tree at home.

We want to thank Natalie for taking time out of her busy schedule and spending the morning with us.
