On the weekend our Tall Tree Landsdale Assistant Manager, Courtney, attended a local bee hive farm and learnt about the process of bee hives and collecting honey. Courtney brought in a sleeve of pure honey for the children to investigate. We talked about the process and how honey is made. The children showed great interest as they listened carefully, asked questions and confidently answered Courtney’s questions. The children explored their senses by smelling, touching and tasting the pure honey comb.
The centre has created a display for our families to help themselves to the honey. We have packaged up the honey using containers from our sustainability station.
