Provide Pedagogical leadership to all Educational Leaders, Room Leaders and Educators by acting as an exceptional role model of practise, knowledge and support.

As Pedagogical Leader you will provide support to all Educational Leaders, Room Leaders and Educators by acting as an exceptional role model for Quality Area 1. Our Pedagigical Leaders have a sound theoretical knowledge of relevant philosophies and act as an expert offering support and guidance on the educational programs within each service.

A primary responsibility of the role will see you collaborate with the Educational Leaders and Managers across the group to maintain accountability for the completion of the educational program, documentation of children's learning and development and critical reflection tasks in all age groups.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with all stakeholders
  • Ensure child's engagement in the educational program is regularly documented and communicated with families in collaboration with the Educational Leader
  • Seek feedback from families and adjust each service's educational programs
  • Assist and support the Educational Leader and Service Managers in embedding the Reggio Emilia philosophy and the company philosophy within the service programs and pedagogical practises
  • Support each service during visits and assessments from the Education and Care Regulatory Unit (ECRU) in regards to areas of QA1 and QA5 of the National Quality Standards.
  • Contribute to ongoing quality improvement within the service by collaborating with the Educational Leader and Service Manager and develop Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) within Quality Areas 1, 3, 5 and 6.
  • Ensure cultural and community events are used to enhance the educational programs within each service
  • Ensure the educational programs and Educators practises provide every day opportunities for children to experience magic moments within the educational program.

I am a Qualified Primary and Early Childhood Teacher who has worked with Tall Tree for five years. In my role of Pedagogical Leader, I get to put my passion for educational leadership, child and educator wellbeing, reconciliation, curriculum design and Reggio Emilia inspired learning environments into action every day! Each day I get to be a sprinkler of magic as I oversee the programming and practice at our early learning and outside school care services.
